The Overtones have been a part of the British music scene for over fourteen years. They quickly became household names after the release of their first album in 2010 and have since enjoyed multi-platinum record sales, with 5 Top 10 albums, 12 major sellout UK tours and broadcast appearances on many popular TV & Radio shows across the UK and Europe. They have firmly established themselves as one of the most successful and sought after vocal harmony groups in British history.
The No1 selling four-piece, consisting of Jay James, Mike Crawshaw, Mark Franks, and Darren Everest are best known for their exquisite vocals, incredible harmonies, perfectly-timed dance moves, and their charming and distinctive style. Also known as “The Awesome Foursome”, in 2021 the group scored their very first ‘Official Charts’ UK Number 1 Independent Album with their highly anticipated 7th studio album ’10’.
The hit album went on to generate impressive music placements with ‘Celebration’ featuring as the official soundtrack to The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee parade with television coverage catching member’s of the Royal family - including the King Charles, the Duchess Of Cambridge and Princess Anne - singing and dancing along! Other placements include featuring in Sky Cinema’s blockbuster film ‘Monster Family 2’ and a global collaboration with Qatar Airlines for the 2022 World Cup promo that saw football stars Neymar and Sergio Ramos singing along to the track.
FIFA recognised the groups natural ability to entertain and invited the boys to perform half time shows at four knockout matches for the Football World Cup in 2022 including England versus Senegal, which of course the members were thrilled about. Over the four matches The Overtones performed to over 300,000 people.
The ‘awesome foursome’ (Hello Magazine) have headlined many of the most prestigious venues in the world, including The London Palladium, The Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate (where they performed to over one million people). Now The Overtones continue their anniversary celebrations by touring with musical legends Michael Ball and Alfie Boe and, after early success, are traveling to new territories including Indonesia and Mexico where their take on ‘Say A Little Prayer’ charted in the iTunes Top 10 and brought them recognition in the USA and further acclaim globally
With work now begun on their next record, the group are currently in the studio with Grammy & Ivor Novello award winning producer and songwriter Eliot Kennedy. The group are also preparing for their 13th annual UK Tour and are set to yet again bring the ‘GOOD TIMES’ this winter.
