Luke’s first musical success was winning the singing and dance competition ‘TeenStar’ in 2013, which is one of the UK’s biggest search for teenage and pre-teen dance and singing acts. Following that Luke entered X-Factor, coming third in the final, being described by Louis Walsh: “You have your own style, your own finish, love your voice. You’re different.” He has been involved in bands since the age of 13, and his current one is made up with some of his best friends.
Unlike many X-Factor contestants, Luke writes a lot of his own music. On Luke’s upcoming debut album, all of the songs are either written or co-written by him. As well as this, Luke plays guitar, whether that be a solo acoustic performance or with a full band behind him.
Since the X Factor, Luke has signed a record deal with BMG. The first single, released in Germany is “Take On The World”, and has been used as the closing song in the hit movie “Antonio Ihm Schmeckts Nicht”, released by 20th Century Fox. Luke is currently in the process of writing and recording his debut album. The album will contain collaborations with Roy Stride, Jack Savoretti, Mike Duce, Dan Lancaster, Duck Blackwell and Red Triangle. He has also had a UK Top 40 hit with Hole On My Heart, following his X Factor success.
Luke continues to build his audience. On Facebook he has over 347,000 fans, 351,000 followers on Twitter, and over 215,000 on Instagram.
Luke loves to perform live. He performed in 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall with Neyo, and at Twickenham in front of 75,000 people. He has performed two sold out arena tours in the UK supporting the Vamps. In June 2016 he performed 3 headline shows in Birmingham, London and Manchester. In August 2016, Luke went on one of his biggest tours, where he was traveling all over Germany in support of the platinum selling band Silbermond performing to over 20,000 people.
