Former Britain’s Got Talent star, Stavros Flatley has teamed up with Dinos & Sons, a leading Greek and Cypriot food manufacturer, to launch a range of food products the first of which can be found in MORRISONS as well as other retail outlets. These are based on family recipe from way back when!

Remembering as a young boy, how he ran into the kitchen at his grandparents’ house in Cyprus, his Grandfather was always preparing all the different marinades that he would be using to cook for the family….

As Stavros points out:

“Each of his special marinade’s had its own story and history. My Grandfather said: ‘The chicken we will marinade in the Greek passion mix’. I thought of this one when I looked at your Grandmother” he would say, smiling. I could barely see over the kitchen table. I was on tip toes with both hands gripping the counter listening to his stories. As I watched him he would tell me all the different herbs and spices he was using and how it was important to use only the best ingredients. He would have loved the idea that we are now sharing all those great recipes, along with some good old fashioned Cypriot classics. These are the foods that we enjoyed growing up in Cyprus, the food of the Gods, that can now be loved by the whole family; a real taste of the Mediterranean.”

It is very unusual for a star from one of Britain’s most popular talent shows to sustain a career, and branch out in this way.

When father and son act Stavros Flatley ran on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, nobody could predict what was to come. They became an overnight sensation! Having never performed together before they wanted to give it a go. At the auditions they wowed all three judges, with Simon Cowell admitting they were one of his ‘favourite ever dance acts’. They went on to reach the final, receiving over 650,000 votes, with Amanda Holden admitting they were her personal favourites.

Since the show back in 2009,and due to popular demand, they have not stopped working and performing. This is very unusual for an act of this nature from Britain’s Got Talent. They have been lucky enough to travel all over the world. Bookings are now confirmed through to December 2012. They’ve written a best selling book “How To Be A Little Bit Greek!”, fronted a major TV advertising campaign for a mobile phone company, performed at Glastonbury, performed on numerous prime time TV shows, had an astounding 30 million You Tube hits,  and gained an enormous fan base along the way. With their fun, family value mischievous sense of humour, they now have an incredible (just under) 1.8 million Facebook followers on their official Facebook account, (which is even higher than the very popular JLS, One Direction or Rihanna!)
